Rutronik presents D-Sub Series with Economy Range from FCI
FCI has expanded its D-Sub Series with the new Economy Range of connectors. The new series addresses the growing number of applications where fewer mating cycles are required, such as set-top boxes, control devices and energy meters.
The new products are available at distributor Rutronik.
The traditional Delta D range is widely recognized as being robust, with high plating performance and 500 mating cycles. Being designed to handle a minimum of 50 mating and unmating cycles the new solder-to-board Economy Range is ideal for use in environments such as PCB and indoor applications
with an operating temperature of -20ºC to +105ºC.
The economical D-Sub series is available in standard density from 9 to 37 positions, in straight and right-angle versions. Right-angle versions are available in two standard footprints: US footprint of 2.84mm with a connector height of 6.3 mm and European footprint of 2.54mm with a connector height of 7.2mm. Compared with the D-Sub product ranges the new connector range can generate 20% to 30% in savings.
