Rutronik received ‘Distributor of the Year’ award eleven times
Over the past year, Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH received eleven awards for "Distributor of the Year". Renowned manufacturers paid tribute to Rutronik's large sales turnover, excellent support for customers for design-in products, and Rutronik’s extensive sales structure throughout Europe covering all six product sectors: semiconductors, passive and electromechanical components, storage technologies, displays & embedded boards, as well as wireless technologies.

In the past year, NEC, Telit, Pulse, Micron, Vishay, JAE, Murata, Samsung,
Panasonic, Keystone and Fujitsu honoured Rutronik with their awards.
Rutronik's efforts in the consultancy-intensive wireless segment were
awarded twice: It received one award from Italian wireless specialist
Telit, and also from Pulse, the leading provider of datacom and telecom
technologies, antennas and microphones. With the establishment of the
Wireless Development Centre, the intensive training of its FAEs and the
European-wide wireless seminar series that was organised in 2008, Rutronik
positioned itself as the leading wireless distributor. The passive and
electromechanical components divisions also received several awards: JAE,
Murata, Samsung, Panasonic and Keystone all awarded Rutronik.

The storage technology division was pleased to receive the Micron
"Distributor of the Year" award for the fourth year running. Today,
Rutronik is the largest and most important sales partner to Micron for the
whole of Europe.

With its award, the semiconductor manufacturer NEC paid tribute to the
significant increase of distributor design-ins, while at the same time
extending its successful long-term partnership to the UK and Ireland.
Vishay recognised the achievements in the semiconductors, passive components
and wireless divisions with the award for "The best overall performance
2008". Wholly owned Rutronik subsidiary Discomp also received an award: For the fourth year running, it was chosen as the No. 1 industrial distributor
by hard disc manufacturer Fujitsu.

"For us, as a broadliner, it is crucial to offer our customers competent
consultation and support in all product sectors", comments Thomas Rudel,
CEO and Managing Director Sales at Rutronik. "I am therefore especially
pleased that our investment and the improvements within the framework of
our quality management have been recognised by Rutronik's partners. This
recognition confirms the success of our concept: A broad and technically
profound consultation combined with an extensive presence throughout
Europe."
