Rutronik Elektronische Bauelemente GmbH is honoured by Murata with the “Outstanding Contribution Award”. The leading supplier of ceramic technology honours Rutronik’s success in increasing sales, increasing market share and gaining new customers for the second time. The Murata Award will be presented with great celebration on November 12, 2008 at the Rutronik stand (A9, Stand 260) during the “electronica” trade fair.

At the end of Murata’s fiscal year (April 2007 to March 2008), Rutronik
succeeded in gaining numerous new customers for Murata components,
significantly increasing sales and further expanding the market share for
ceramic capacitors, piezoelectronic components and inductors. The upshot:
with a network share of 43 percent of all official Murata distributors in
Germany, Rutronik is by far the largest distributor of Murata products. “In
addition to these purely economical aspects, what we value about Rutronik
is its market presence in the form of numerous branches throughout Europe as well as the first-class cooperation with Rutronik as evidenced by the
valuable contributions toward customer product development through push
programs and FAE activities”, stated Herr Hermann, Managing Director MED
and Vice President Murata Europe.

Rutronik has partnered with Murata since 1991. The franchise agreement
covers Germany, Austria, Denmark, France and Switzerland as well as
numerous Eastern European countries; a further expansion is planned. With
annual sales of 30 million Euros, Murata is Rutronik’s largest supplier in
the passive sector with a share of 31 percent. “A number of technical
innovations such as sensoring and especially suitable components for
automotive and industrial applications and the good technical support from
its own Murata Field Application Engineers (FAEs) make this manufacturer
one of our most important partners”, explained Ernst Gengenbach, authorized
representative of management and Manager of the Passive Components Division at Rutronik. “The profound know-how in the raw material manufacturing and the production in their own factories make Murata an exceptionally reliable supplier, which is extremely important to our customers.”
